BIG MISTAKE!! PPF JOB
WATCH OUT WHEN YOU DO PPF (THINGS TO KNOW)
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is designed to protect your vehicle’s paint from rock chips, scratches, and everyday wear. However, one important thing many vehicle owners may not realize is that if a vehicle has been previously repainted or repaired incorrectly, applying or removing PPF can sometimes lift the paint from the surface.
During a recent installation, we discovered the vehicle had prior paintwork that was not properly bonded to the factory surface. When the film was adjusted and removed during installation, the weak paint lifted from the vehicle. While this is rare, it can happen when aftermarket paint or bodywork has not been professionally completed.
At Eddie’s Window Tint, we believe in being honest and transparent with our customers. Situations like this are a reminder of how important quality paintwork and proper preparation are before applying PPF. Our goal is always to educate customers, protect their vehicles the right way, and continue learning from every experience to provide the best service possible.
